Bryan Anthonys Necklaces
What particularly drew my attention to Bryan Anthonys jewelry was the stories they attach to each piece. This essentially provides a meaning to each piece of jewelry that you can be reminded of each time you see it on yourself. It was because of these stories, and my new journey this year, that I decided wearing these pieces of jewelry would be a good way to start the year.
I have found that it’s important to ornament yourself, and give yourself not-entirely-necessary small wardrobe upgrades because it just makes you feel better. The way that you dress yourself has some bearing on the energy you feel throughout your day. I need positive energy this year, so I’m starting here.
I love to be casual and comfortable, but I also love the easy glamour of wearing jewelry all the time.

Choices
I chose the “Grit” necklace, as grit is a characteristic that I see in myself, and has always been one of my favorite things about myself. Wearing a piece of jewelry that honors that, and reminds myself of it, would be a bit like a perpetual positive affirmation, I thought. Additionally, I knew I would have difficulties this year to face. Reminding myself of the importance of grit would be especially helpful during this time.
I decided to also get the “Never Lost” necklace, since these Bryan Anthony necklaces look especially good layered. Really, there are so many of the necklaces that I like, it was difficult to just pick two. But, because of the compass shape of this necklace, and because of this new journey I am facing this year, I thought “Never Lost” would be a particularly good reminder to carry. To open myself up to new experiences, while navigating them according to my inner compass. To remember to trust myself as the captain of my own ship through the inevitably choppy waters of exploration toward a life that better fits me.

The necklaces came in lovely white boxes with the stories imprinted to read as you remove your jewelry for the first time. More importantly, the necklaces themselves are perfectly sized with extender chains at the clasp, so that they can be adjusted to the size you’d like for your look. You can wear them from a choker length to a 20 inch mid-length necklace length. There is even an extra extender on the site you can purchase if you’d like to wear them up to 24 inches long.
For me, the standard choker to 20 inch length works fine. It’s the perfect length to show above (or slightly below) the neckline of most shirts. I tend to wear the “Grit” necklace shorter, around choker level most days. Then, the “Never Lost” necklace I wear a bit longer, below the other.
I love wearing these necklaces. As it turns out, I love them just as jewelry, apart from the stories they carry. I wear them all the time, layered, with anything from a t-shirt or tank top to a dress. They are the perfect elevation for my everyday outfits, and make me look nice while simultaneously reminding me of the journey I need to push forward on!
